How it works

How NJ Drain Connect Works

A plain explanation of what happens after you submit a request, what we do, and what we do not do.

  1. 1

    Describe the problem

Tell us what is happening, your ZIP code, and how urgent it is. It takes about a minute.

  2. 2

We review and route the request

When an appropriate participating provider is available for your area and service type, we pass your request to that independent business.

  3. 3

    The provider contacts you directly

The independent provider discusses the situation, scheduling, and pricing with you. NJ Drain Connect is not a party to that arrangement.

Step 1 in detail: you describe the problem

The form asks for your name, phone, email, ZIP code, the type of problem, how urgent it is, and an optional description. The more specific you are (which fixtures, how long, what you have tried), the easier it is for a provider to understand the situation. Our guides can help you describe what you are seeing.

Step 2 in detail: we review and route

We look at the location, service type, and urgency. When an appropriate participating provider is available, we pass your request to that independent business. We do not guarantee a match. If no participating provider is available for your request, it may not be routed, and you are free to contact any provider directly.

Step 3 in detail: the provider contacts you

The provider reaches out by phone, text, or email to discuss the problem, scheduling, and pricing. Any estimate, contract, warranty, or payment is between you and the provider. NJ Drain Connect is not a party to that arrangement and does not supervise the work.

What "independent provider" means

Participating providers are separate businesses. They are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, employees, pricing, scheduling, and workmanship. We encourage you to verify a provider's New Jersey license and insurance before hiring, as you would with any contractor.

Your information

Request details are stored securely and shared only with the provider we route your request to. See the privacy policy for details.

Frequently asked questions

Is NJ Drain Connect a plumbing company?

No. NJ Drain Connect is an independent referral website. We do not perform plumbing, drain, sewer, excavation, inspection, or repair work. We help you request a connection with independent local providers who do.

Does it cost anything to submit a request?

There is no charge to submit a request through NJ Drain Connect. Any service pricing is set by the independent provider and agreed between you and that provider.

Will someone definitely contact me?

We route requests when an appropriate participating provider is available for your area and service. We do not guarantee a match or a specific response time. If we cannot route your request, you are free to contact any provider directly.

What areas do you cover?

Our initial focus is Union County, New Jersey, starting with Linden. Requests from other New Jersey areas can be submitted, but provider availability outside Union County is more limited at this time.

What happens to my information?

Your request details are stored securely and shared only with the participating provider we route your request to, so they can contact you about the service. See our privacy policy for details.

Are the providers licensed?

Participating providers are independent businesses responsible for their own licensing and insurance. New Jersey requires plumbing contractors to be licensed; you can verify a license through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs before hiring anyone.
